Evan Meyers is a senior associate at of McGuire Law P.C. He is a well-respected and experienced trial and appellate litigator who has handled all aspects of litigation, from pleadings through trial, for a broad range of complex litigation matters. Evan has litigated conflicts including contract disputes, securities and consumer fraud, employment discrimination, insurance coverage, antitrust, shareholder and tax disputes, and business torts.

Prior to joining McGuire Law P.C., Evan was Senior Counsel at a class action law firm based in Chicago and was a litigation associate at the national law firm Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. Additionally, Evan served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Wayne R. Andersen (Ret.) of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Evan is currently a member of the University of Illinois College of Law Chicago Program Advisory Board, serves as an attorney-mentor with the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism’s Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentoring Program, and has served as a firm liaison for the Chicago Bar Foundation Investing in Justice Campaign since 2011.

Evan has extensive experience with class action litigation, with an emphasis on consumer privacy, telecommunications, consumer fraud, and financial services matters. He has been appointed as Class Counsel and has successfully managed numerous national class action lawsuits involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and consumer fraud statutes, resulting in millions of dollars recovered for hundreds of thousands of consumers. Evan has also successfully prosecuted class action lawsuits against major national banks for suspending home equity lines of credit in the wake of the financial crash, serving as Class Counsel and obtaining settlements that restored hundreds of millions of dollars in consumer credit lines. Evan served as counsel of the record in the matter Campbell-Ewald Co. v. Jose Gomez, 136 S. Ct. 663 (2016), a case crucial to class action jurisprudence, where Evan helped secure important victories at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and at the U.S. Supreme Court.
